Happy Birthday to me

I am a year older and lucky to be alive. I spent the end of January and most of February in the hospital. I had a severe case of pancreatitis that many doctors have told me easily could have killed me.

In the few weeks since I’ve been home, I’ve been healing and coping with the residual pain and working on eating food again. My children are thrilled to have me home. Tabitha mentions every other day that I was in the hospital for “a really REALLY long time.”

Needless to say, this birthday that passed last weekend was a really special one. We celebrated all weekend… cupcakes with the kids and a lovely dinner out with Pat.
